Surry Hills Terrace House
Bringing to life a 1892 house.
Surry Hills terrace house explores the potential of the classic build of terrace next to terrace. The aim of this project was maximising light in all areas of the house. This was achieved through a second floor extension and an open plan ground floor. The house blends in raw materials and a soft colour palette to adjust to every season of the year.

COLOUR PALETTE & MATERIALS
Neutral colour palette
Natural stone and timber & brass accents
In this project, we wanted to create a soft palette that will adapt to all seasons. Travertine stone, brass, natural American oak furniture and Tasmanian oak timber floors. The textiles combine a mix of wool fabrics in darker colours and linen blends for a cooler look in the hotter months. Concrete is used in the ground floor as contrast to the rustic elements of the house.
